Realms of Ishikaze began its run with the launch of Wirepop.com, October 1, 2003. It tells of the adventures of players in an online roleplaying game, where practically everything is user-generated. Through the years, we’ve seen the main character Arashiko join the ranks of the administrators, her reluctant companion Denki open his own pub, and her devoted sidekick form a guild and mount a rebellion against the tyranny of advertisements. The story is rated for Young Adults and updates every Wednesday and Saturday.
The print version of the comic is compiled in 7 full-color books and a black-and-white sampler, and are available for purchase through Wirepop.com. Speaking of which, Wirepop is a subscription service, where a small monthly fee grants a reader access to the full archives and extra goodies of over a dozen comics, including Ishikaze.
